◎舉辦目的：
電腦科技的發展日新月異，但人們在視覺感知上的要求卻永無止境，也因此電腦圖學的研究一直都有新的挑戰與機會。毫無疑問的，電腦圖學領域將在廿一世紀人類邁入數位多媒體生活中，扮演重要角色。隨著電腦軟硬體的快速發展，近年來電腦圖學研究課題也不斷更新；不論是已知問題的創新解法或新的研究議題，都有待進一步突破，方能達到建構美麗數位新世界的目標。近年來，在電腦圖學學門各位先進及新血的共同努力下，國內電腦圖學的研究得以蓬勃發展，並在國際學術領域中佔有一席之地。今年我們希望透過Computer Graphics Workshop 2009的舉辦，能提供一個圖學相關研發成果發表的機會，並能透過聯誼及心得交換，讓電腦圖學領域的同好有機會進行進一步的交流與合作，以厚植台灣電腦圖學學術研究的實力。
