由工業技術研究院主辦的VLSI-TSA研討會，自1983年起每兩年舉辦一次，經過22年的努力，使得該研討會已成為全球最重要的積體電路技術研討會之一。近年來，亞洲半導體產業的發展在全球愈見舉足輕重地位，IC設計技術與產業的蓬勃發展，更是有目共睹；國際交流與互動的研討會亦愈受各界重視，會議規模更是隨需求而漸趨擴大。2005年起，VLSI-TSA研討會正式分為以技術與製造為主的VLSI-TSA，以及以設計、自動化和測試為主的VLSI-DAT兩場研討會。

今(2009)年總計有來自國內外產學研各界投稿論文279篇，132篇獲選並於大會發表。非常感謝學者專家的熱忱參與，使得大會投稿能有如此豐碩的成果。同時考量設計與製造日趨緊密的發展關係，特安排一場共同開幕儀式，除頒發相關獎項外，並請到台積電副董事長兼創意電子董事長曾繁城博士及NXP資深副總裁Dr. Rene Penning發表含概設計及製造技術與趨勢的演說。
有鑑於目前全球經濟困境，各研討會參與人數亦難免受到影響。本研討會舉辦之相關資源除來自工業技術研究院的支援之外，仍需各界的大力支持。在此特懇請 貴教授基於對本活動一貫之熱忱，協助大會宣傳，鼓勵學生們踴躍報名參加。

The ICITA secretariat would like to make this announcement to inform that the 6th International Conference on Information Technology and Applications (ICITA 2009) will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam from 9 to 12 November 2009.
The conference is an annual event and is recognized as one of the major series of conferences in Information Technology. ICITA continues to retain its tradition of high quality conference and will open up an opportunity for academics and industrial professionals worldwide to exchange their knowledge of the state-of-the-art research and development in information technology and applications, and to establish and extend professional networks.
The conference site Hanoi, as the charming Vietnamese capital, preserves the Old Quarter, monuments and colonial architecture, while making room for modern developments alongside. It retains buildings from the eleventh-century court of its founding father King Ly Thai To, most notably the Temple of Literature, and some of the streets in the Old Quarter still trade in the same speciality goods they dealt in 500 years ago. 近年來配合政府「兩兆雙星」的科技產業發展政策，全國各界均十分積極推動生物醫學與生物科技的研究與教育，特別是在生醫領域中最具有潛力與前瞻性的幹細胞研究即是其中的重點項目之一。承蒙國科會與教育部之指導，今年度的臺灣幹細胞學會年會將結合『幹細胞與生物工程國際研討會』，於今年五月十六、十七日在國立成功大學醫學院的成杏廳舉行。
有鑑於幹細胞相關的治療產品已被世界各國證實有驚人的療效，預見未來將會有更多的醫療需求及新的治療技術出現，而幹細胞的研究更間接啟發了許多新穎的研究領域。本會議特別邀請美國、加拿大、德國、日本、新加坡共11位幹細胞與生物工程領域首屈一指的知名學者，並邀約國內約20位傑出學者一同舉辦『幹細胞與生物工程國際學術研討會』，希望透過此研討會的舉行，提供國內外從事幹細胞與生物工程領域之菁英一個交流平台並汲取國際新知，藉由與世界頂尖的研究人才之互動與討論，提升我國之研究水準。本會誠摯邀請您共襄盛舉，蒞臨本會指導並發表論文，持續增進學術交流以提升國內研究能量，使本次研討會為臺灣的幹細胞與生物工程研究邁向另一個里程碑。
